Pack & Den Information
The Cub Scout Den:
• Your boy is a member of a Cub Scout den.
• Each den is made up of boys in the same grade.
• Most dens meet once a week or once every two weeks.
• The den is led by a den leader (usually a parent).
• The den leader is usually assisted by an assistant den leader & sometimes a den chief (an older Boy Scout)
• Den meetings have games, crafts, songs, activities, and lots of fun.
• Your boy is also a member of a Cub Scout pack.
The Cub Scout Pack:
• The pack is made up of the different dens (Tigers, Wolves, Bears, Webelos 1st Yr, Webelos 2nd Yr).
• A pack meets once a month - all Cub Scout families attend.
• The monthly pack meeting is led by the Cubmaster.
• The pack meeting is the climax of the month’s den meetings and activities & a great source of information.
• Pack meetings have games, prizes, ceremonies, and presentations of badges that the boys earned
that month.
