PARENT VOLUNTEER POSITIONS IN THE PACK

den leaderDEN LEADER(S)

Plans and leads the den at weekly den meetings and participates in monthly family meetings. Attends the monthly pack leaders’ meeting and roundtable meeting. The Pack will need Tiger Cub Den Leaders for first graders, Den Leaders for second and third graders, and Webelos Den Leaders for fourth and fifth graders.


CUBMASTER:

Helps plan and carry out the pack program with the help of the pack committee. Emcees monthly pack meeting, and attends pack leaders’ meeting and monthly roundtable meeting.


SECRETARY/TREASURER:

Keeps all records for the pack, including pack bank account, financial records, etc. Attends pack meetings and pack committee meetings.


ADVANCEMENT COORDINATOR:

Maintains advancement records. Orders and obtains all badges and insignia. Attends pack meetings and pack committee meetings.


PACK TRAINER:

Makes sure all leaders in the pack attend basic training courses, and are aware of other supplemental training courses that will help them do a good job as a leader for Cub Scouts.


MEMBERSHIP CHAIRMAN:

Organizes a year-round recruitment plan to help the pack remain healthy by attracting new Cub Scouts and their families. The Membership Chairman also organizes the pack’s recruitment efforts.


PARENT HELPERS:

Each year the pack will undertake several short term projects. Parents and other volunteers are needed for activities such as pack money-earning projects (popcorn sale), Scouting for Food, Pack Good Turn, Pinewood Derby, Blue and Gold Banquet, Friends of Scouting, etc. These jobs are of short duration and still enable all families to assist with pack responsibilities.
