2016 Cub Scout Day Camp - STEM Academy

Neil Armstrong. Marie Curie. Alexander Graham Bell.
Before they changed the world, they played. They let their curiosity loose.  They explored their world.
AT STEM DAY CAMPS, boys will have the ability to do just that. Work in teams, meet new friends and perform exciting hands-on experiments that make science, technology, engineering and math come alive. Plus we will do all the fun activities that Cub Scouts like, including field games, crafts, and shooting sports!
THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT
Volunteer opportunities still available, please see volunteer form for more details!
The last night of each camp is family night. Bring your whole family out!
Please note:   A parent/guardian must be present with Tiger Cubs during the entire event.
Any adult or Boy Scout who wants to volunteer, should download the event packet.

Pack 32 Rocket Launch....We're Going to Have a Blast!!!!

posted Sep 3, 2015, 9:36 AM by Jeff Tanner   [ updated Sep 3, 2015, 9:39 AM ]

We're just 10 days away from our Pack 32 Rocket Launch!  This year our launch will be held at the Falling Springs Model Airplane.  Drive to the left of Falling Springs parking lot pass the county fair area and you will see a drive to the left toward a small pavilion.  We will start at 1:30 PM on Sunday, September 13, 2015.

Pack 32 will be providing hotdogs, chips, cookies, and drinks.  Families are welcome to bring other personal items as desired.

Every scout is asked to provide his own model rocket, appropriately sized engines, igniters, and wadding.  Parents DO NOT need to spend a lot of money for this activity.  A small model rocket can run from $10 to $15.  We recommend the easy to assemble rockets for younger scouts.  Pack 32 will be providing the launch pads and launchers.

Each den will be provided a designated area and we will launch approximately 5 rockets at a time.  Each scout will be allowed to launch a minimum of 2 times.  After all scouts have launched, siblings and other family members may also launch a rocket!!

We would encourage you to invite others who may be interested in joining Pack 32 and seeing what Cub Scouts is all about!!!!

Back to School means Back to Scouts!!!!

Hey Scouts!

We hope everyone had a great summer break!  As we're gearing up for school to start, Pack leaders have been busy planning another great and exciting Scout year! We're mixing things up this year with more camping opportunities and different activities.  Also we have a brand new advancement program for Tigers through Webelos I so we're all in for something new this year!

Some of the changes this year in our program include:

- The Cub Scout Promise as been replaced with the Scout Oath

- The Law of the Pack has been replaced with the Scout Law

- Academic and Sports Belt Loops and Pins have been discontinued, but many of those recognition are now part of the new advancement system as electives.

- A new "Adventure Trail" advancement program has been put in place.  Scouts work on different "Adventure Trails" to earn their Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos ranks.

- A new handbook has been issued which contains all of the new information and advancement materials.

As you can see, there is going to be a lot of new things, and hopefully, a lot of new faces too.  We hope you will take this time to encourage your friends to join Cub Scouts....
