5th Annual
Pack 32 Rocket Launch

Sunday, September 13, 2015
1:30pm - 4:00pm
Woodford County Aeromodelers Club Field (Falling Springs)

Launch details

  • Each Scout is responsible for bringing a model rocket, engines and igniters (we recommend 2 or 3), and wadding. Pack 32 will provide launch pads.
  • Rockets can be purchased locally at Hobbytown USA, Michael's, and Hobby Lobby, or online, including from Amazon.com or Walmart.com.
Tip: If this is your first rocket, look for models marked RTF (ready to fly), E2X (easy to assemble), or similar. These models require little or no gluing.
  • Siblings/family members may launch rockets after all the Scouts have been given an opportunity to launch their rockets.
  • Every young person that will be launching a rocket needs to complete a waiver form prior to launch. These forms can be downloaded below. Multiple siblings can be listed on a single form.
  • Pack 32 will do its best to recover all rockets but Scouts should understand there is a risk that their rockets may be unrecoverable, lost or damaged during the launch.

Refreshment Details

  • Pack 32 will provide hotdogs, chips, cookie.
  • Lemonade and/or Kool-Aid-type drinks will be available. If your family desires any other drinks, please provide your own for the activity.
  • Families are encouraged to bring a blanket or bag chairs, as there is no other seating in the area.

Volunteers needed

Please see your Scout's Den Leader if you are able to assist.
