THE FINAL STRETCH

Ok guys...it's time to put on that uniform and sell! We're getting down the final 2 weeks of the fundraiser and we still have lots of popcorn left to sell!

A huge thank you to the 6 boys who turned out to sell popcorn for the blitz. It was a BIG success. I can only imagine how AMAZING it would have been to have the entire pack turn out.

The popcorn will sell itself. All you have to do is ask people. Just remember that fundraising is an essential part of making this pack run. All we ask is that you just "do your best."

Every little bit counts. And remember...fill out all 30 lines on your form and you get to hit Mr. Witt in the face with a pie!! If that doesn't motivate you then I don't know what will! Ha ha!!

Let's Sell Some Popcorn!

Fundraising is important for several reasons... First it teaches our kids how to set & achieve goals. It also teaches them how to talk to and interact with adults. It is good for our children to hear and accept both yes and no.

Not many people ENJOY fundraising, however it is a very important part of any organization. Please encourage your child to get out there and sell to friends, family & neighbors.

Our goal is for each boy to fill out one order form. That is to sell to $30 people. The boys will get some fabulous prizes and the Pack would make a LOT of money too!!

Remember that we will receive ourselves 33% of all sales to our Pack! Let's see if we can reach our goal!!

Popcorn Delivery

I will be picking up the popcorn on Monday Sept 21. Popcorn will be available for you to pick up from me in Midway later that week (to give me a chance to get it organized & sorted). If you are unable to come to Midway, just call me and arrange a time that we can meet in Versailles. Keep checking back for more details...

Important Popcorn News

This is the first year we have sold popcorn as a fundraiser for our pack. Because I am new at this and have no history of sales to go on, I am just having to wing it. So please bear with me. That being said, here is some additional info that may help:

Show & Deliver is where I have to guess how many boxes of popcorn I think we will sell. I order that quantity and wait for a pick up date (either Sept 17 or 21). I then bring all of that home & organize it.

We will have a blitz sales day on October 10. This is when all of our scouts have the opportunity (with an adult) to sign out popcorn and go sell door to door for 2 hours. We will have contests and prizes that day for top sales. We will also have a pizza party afterwards for any scouts that participate. This is of course optional but a great opportunity to fill up their order forms to earn the bow & mallow shooter & other prizes. *NOTE* the best thing to do here is to start a NEW order form so you will know which customers were given product immediately vs. which ones you still need to deliver to...two order forms were in each packet & there is a link on our website to download additional ones if needed.

After the blitz, we will be able to start filling the other orders that have been taken. Any orders that are not able to be filled (due to running out of that particular product) will be tallied by me and sent to council by November 2 for a pick up of November 14. I will then call you to make arrangements for pick up.

This is my hope but keep checking back as things could change. I will do my best to keep everyone updated and keep errors to a minimum. Thanks a bunch! And remember to sell sell sell!!!

Registration Night

Thanks so much to everyone who turned out to our registration night!! What a turn out! It was really wonderful seeing so many new faces as well as some familiar ones. I really appreciate everyone's patience with me while registering. If anyone has any questions or concerns please feel free to call or email us.

Anyone that did not receive their popcorn packet, please let your den leaders know. I will be distributing packets to each den leader so you can get started before the next pack meeting. If anyone needs them right away, let me know & I'll get one to you.

If anyone is interested in becoming a den leader or even be an assistant to a den leader, please let us know ASAP so we can get your information in the system.

Thank you to St. Leo School

I just wanted to say thanks to all the boys & staff at St. Leo School for inviting us into their classes. We had a great time talking to the boys and enjoyed seeing them get so excited. We hope to see you Thursday!!

Woodford Christian Ice Cream Social

Thank you to all the parents, faculty, & staff for making us feel so welcome. We really enjoyed speaking with everyone. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to see some new faces join the pack!

Huntertown Ice Cream Social

I just wanted to thank all of the parents that came and talked to me about Scouting. We had a wonderful response and I am so excited about this up coming year! If anyone has any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email Eric or I questions.

Registration Time

It is that time of year again when the kids go back to school and we sign them up for all those wonderful activities such as SCOUTS! Check out our calendar for different school rallies and our first Pack Meeting. Come on out and join us!! We'd love to see you there.

Welcome to Pack 32!

Woodford County's Cub Scout Pack 32 is an active pack in the Elkhorn District of the Bluegrass Council. We participate in many yearly activities including: the Elkhorn District Fall Family Campout, Raingutter Regatta, Pinewood Derby, Space Derby, Campouts, Sleepovers, & the Blue and Gold Banquet.

What is the Blue & Gold Banquet?
The purpose of the blue and gold banquet is to celebrate the pack's anniversary, recognize pack leaders and other adults who have been instrumental in the pack's success, and inspire the leaders, Scouts, and parents. It functions as our February Pack Meeting as well as a time to bring families together for an evening of fun and inspiration. Kids will also be receiving their prizes from the popcorn sales!!

Your den leaders will be asking you to RSVP with a number of people from your family attending. This year we are having a picnic theme. You are asked to bring a dish to share- please see the guide below. Pack 32 provides the plates, cups, silverware, napkins, stuff to make sandwiches, drinks & cake for dessert. There will also be a contest for the best table decorations by a Den. Please contact Kim Witt with any questions.
